November has been another busy month with lots of great new opportunities. I am thankful for all the success that I had these past months and feel privileged to have worked with such great clients.
As many already know shooting interiors is a favourite of mine. Why do I like it so much? Because it is challenging! Finding the right balance between natural light and flash can be tricky at times when dealing with a large number of windows and artificial lighting. Also moving a chair a few inches right or left to adjust the composition can be the small detail that in the end will make the shot or not.
In early November I had the opportunity to work with Katrina Walker from EDIT Interior Design based in Edmonton. The project we photographed that day was the gorgeous open office space at Green Plan Ltd. that Katrina designed. The main challenge in this shoot was to control the reflections on the glass panels in the room. In this case I usually rely on a combination of flash and multiple exposures to get the results I want. Here is a selection of images captured that day:
